Hexagonal Blocks

I've seen quilts made from hexagonal blocks but I've never made one. I thought it would be fun to try designing one.

I'll start with an ordinary ever-day hexagon.
What if I make an ordinary every-day hexagonal flower from 7 hexagons?
What if I combine 4 flowers to make a 3 pointed star?
What if I combine 6 flowers to make a ring?
What if I combine 2 stars and a ring?
What if I add a couple of small triangles?
What if I fill in the corners?
What if I add a light beige background?
What if I make the background from hexagons using 3 different light beiges?

This looks good to me.
