From My Pieced Alphabet:

Tuxedo Park

The y divides readily into sew-able pieces. All the triangles are formed using the connector corner method:
A square is placed over a rectangle, The square is sewn on the diagonal. Excess fabric is trimmed off leaving a 1/4" seam. The triangle is then folded down and pressed.
This alphabet has wide and narrow, sharp and blunt elements. These give it variety and interest.
